Okay, so Aunt Julie flies out tomorrow and we had a great time with her. We definitely got some great pics while she was here (THANK YOU!!) and out of the 250 she took... here are about 30 or so to share. We were able to get some good family pictures in by the tree and the fireplace. We also made it to see Santa at Bass Pro Shops...Landon didn't cry and had his eyes open for the picture - so that's all I could ask for! Have a great Christmas everyone
Well some time has passed and mostly we've been working on trying to get Landon to smile and hold his head. He has really discovered his tongue - because he's sticking it out ALL THE TIME!!! He also had his first Thanksgiving already and enjoyed hanging out with the family. He's also had quite a few visitors!! His Uncle Dave surprised us with a visit for a few days, followed by his Auntie Julie and one of his best buds Spencer (and Chrystal and Brett!) Although we forgot to take pictures ... quite upsetting. He's also grown quite a bit and we can't wait to see how much he weighs now (he goes in Dec. 28th for his 2 month appointment). I'm sure he's also grown in height too because he is too long for quite a few of our 0-3 month outfits already. I go back to work December 22nd and am a little nervous about the adjustment but looking forward to getting back into the world again. It will be a good transition though with Christmas and New Years off to spend with him. Mike is also looking forward to some Daddy time with him while I'm away at work. We hope everyone has a great holiday season and will make sure to take more pictures to share with everyone.
My neighbor across the street runs a daycare out of her house and one of her kids mom] is learning how to work her camera and pose babies to one day open her own business. Landon was her first guinea pig! Here are the ones that she gave to me. I love some of them and others are so-so for me. I was there for over 3 hours and they took over 1000 pics... I got 15 of them. I would love to see them all and pick and choose others...but I can't complain since everything was done for free. If you would like copies - let me know and I'll get them ordered for you.
Landon and I can't believe how quickly time is going...he's 3 weeks old today and officially 9lbs already...he's definitely my little piggy as I call him. He love's his food :) We're doing tummy time a lot to build up those muscles...but he seems to be moving his legs more than lifting his head, so that scares me for the crawling stage earlier than I would like...I'm sure I'm just imagining things though. Here are some recent pics of tummy time and my attempt of taking some "staged" photos. I had some pics taken of him recently from a friend of my neighbors, just waiting to get the files so I can share them too.
Hello everyone!! Landon is home and we are getting used to the whole family thing. It's quite a change, but a great one. So much has happened, I don't know where to start. We came home Friday before Halloween and it's been a whirlwind. The dogs have taken quite well to the little guy. He had Jaundice and had to wear a phototherapy vest, but didn't take any pics of it. After a day, he was in the clear and he looks better and better every day. I have already had the first of many diaper explosions that resulted in bath time. Mom was here for that and had a great laugh! He's experienced his first Halloween, Husker game, NASCAR race, Bath time, and play date with his friend Conley. Thank you to everyone for all your help, support, comments, gifts and visits over the last 9 months - we couldn't have done it without you!
So I haven't exactly been great at taking continuous monthly pictures, but here is how I have grown over the last few months. As you can see... I started off not so bad... but now I'm huge and only a week away. I'm excited to meet the little guy and see what he looks like. I'm also ready to breath normally, sleep somewhat again and to eat without throwing up. Wish us luck, we're gonna need it :)

Anyways, Mike & I have been working on the nursery lately and this is how far we have come. Not much else we can do really right now except wait for shower gifts to fill up the place :). Mike painted over the course of a few weeks. Dakota decided to pay a visit to him while painting and got her tail all covered in paint, had to take some pics of course!
I'm going to be outnumbered soon! Mike & I found out we were having a boy (see pic above!!). I didn't post all of them because the baby wouldn't pose well for us.... so we have some pictures of his skeleton face and it looks kinda creepy. I went in about 1.5 weeks earlier than others, so it's still hard to tell some things in the pics....although the techs were able to tell us it was a boy (after I moved around, went to the bathroom and poked at my stomach)... I was sure we were going to have to wait, but guess not. Although I had a hard time seeing what they were telling me. Afterwards, we went out to lunch with my mom and then hit some garage sales to find baby stuff. We have some things, but not too much. But now that I know it's a boy... watch out :)
I visited Dr. Kirsch again today for a normal checkup. Heard the heartbeat again, around the upper 130's. He hopefully gave me a miracle pill for my wonderful heartburn that has been around the last few weeks. Keep your fingers crossed. We get to find out the sex on May 29th.... so just waiting... here is where I must practice my patience!!!
Mike & I heard the baby's heartbeat on Monday, April 13th. Dr. Kirsch had a harder time finding it because it kept moving around (kinda crazy it can move already!). But eventually he found it pounding away at 157 beats per minute.
Mike is sure we are having a girl, I'm thinkin boy... so we're taking bets. I think it will be a week worth of diaper changes?? Ha Ha.
